PIERRE SWART

Pierre holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting Science from the University of Pretoria, obtained in 1997, and became a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) in February 2002. He furthered his education with an MBA from North-West University in 2005. As a Registered Auditor with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), Pierre is recognized as a highly qualified professional in his field.

With over two decades of experience, Pierre has a comprehensive background in both professional services and commerce, working with large international and multinational corporations. His career in professional services includes tenures at Ernst & Young (Canada and South Africa) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he developed deep expertise in various accounting frameworks, auditing standards, including integrated audits (SOX404).

In the commercial sector, Pierre has overseen regional financial functions for prominent companies such as Gold Fields Ltd (JSE, NYSE), Boart Longyear (ASX), and Keller Plc (LSE). Beyond his roles in professional services, Pierre has a proven track record of driving transformative changes across finance, operations and legal functions. He is skilled in technology and project management, steering organisational restructuring and improvement initiatives that highlight his adaptability and forward-thinking vision. His strategic agility has consistently driven organisations towards growth, enhancing their sustainability and competitiveness in the market.

Pierre is married to Elsje, and together they have two children, a daughter, and a son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, cycling, and supporting his kids in their sports activities.
